 The Role: Oxford University is seeking an experienced Research Finance Management professional to drive key improvements within our post-award finance management processes. Following a comprehensive service review in 2023/2024, we identified priority areas for enhancement in research finance management and are now looking for a subject matter expert to play a key part in the delivery of the recommended improvements.This is a unique opportunity for someone familiar with University research finance systems and procedures to refine and enhance post-award processes, deliver innovative training, and support continuous process improvements. You will work closely with colleagues from the Finance Division, Research Services, and departments and Divisions to embed these changes and foster best practice in research finance management across the University.This role is offered as a two-year secondment and is ideal for a professional with experience in Research Finance Management (Post Award) and knowledge of the Focus process improvement methodology. Person Specification: This role would suit an individual currently working in research finance management (post award) with in-depth knowledge of University and departmental administration, systems and processes. Experience of the Focus process improvement methodology and the development and delivery of training materials is highly desirable. You will have a strong ability to collaborate across teams, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and a passion for driving improvements in financial and research management processes. You will act as an ambassador of the Research Finance Management Improvements Programme, and be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion in your work.
