Research Finance Management Improvement Programme Officer

Job Summary:

Oxford University is seeking an experienced Research Finance Management professional to drive key improvements within our post-award finance management processes. This is a unique opportunity for someone familiar with University research finance systems and procedures to refine and enhance post-award processes, deliver innovative training, and support continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with colleagues from the Finance Division, Research Services, and departments and Divisions to embed changes and foster best practice in research finance management across the University.
  • Develop and deliver training materials to support the implementation of process improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize areas for improvement in research finance management.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive service review to identify priority areas for enhancement in research finance management.
Person Specification:

This role would suit an individual currently working in research finance management (post award) with in-depth knowledge of University and departmental administration, systems and processes. Experience of the Focus process improvement methodology and the development and delivery of training materials is highly desirable. You will have a strong ability to collaborate across teams, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and a passion for driving improvements in financial and research management processes.
