Have you got what it takes to secure a PR Internship at BLUE?

Location: Summertown - Hybrid office / WFH

Duration: 6 Months

Salary: £23,000 pro rata

We're looking for someone who is as passionate as we are abut shipping and the journey towards sustainability in the maritime industry. If seafarer welfare, cutting-edge clean techologies, the challenges of bringing new fuels to old ships, and navigating the increasingly complex global regulations float your boat - we'd love to hear from you.

Tasks

Over the course of 6 months, you will be trained on and gain commercial experience in:

  • Best practice in account management and delivering excellent client services.
  • Drafting press releases for features, social media banks and abstracts for speaker opportunities.
  • Issuing press releases to a targeted distribution list.
  • Pitching and following up via phone and email.
  • Speaking to, and meeting, journalists regularly to build media relationships.

Not to mention the opportunity to:

  • Develop your professional interpersonal skills and office etiquiette.
  • Attend seminars and develop. your networking skills at industry events.
  • Contribute to BLUE's own social media.
Requirements

To succeed with BLUE, you will need to excel in the skills developed during your degree:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Managing deadlines and priorities effectively.
  • Disseminating complex technical information into captivating copy.
  • Writing to a high standard with an engaging style and close attention to language, grammar and accuracy.
