Main duties of the job

Enhance Clinical Fellow - Post-Graduate Medical Education - Band 7 (15 hrs per week)

The main aims of the Fellowship are to help in further development of the Enhance programme with a focus on implementation, training and evaluation.

The post-holder will be involved in developing, supporting and evaluating the Gloucestershire programme in conjunction with the Trailblazer Team and Speciality Department Personnel. This work will be closely linked to the 6-learning domains of the Enhancing Generalist Skills programme and will revolve around the needs of both patients and healthcare professionals.

The post holder will be instrumental in driving education and training reform, and will be involved with the planning, implementation and evaluation of various projects specific to our local population, as well as developing networks and championing the Enhance project.Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the largest employer in the county and with over 8,000 staff we are one of the largest NHS Trusts in the UK.

Job responsibilities

We are looking for 1-Enhance Fellow for 15 hours/2-days per week ( WTE) for a Fixed Term of 12-months.

The post holder will be a Senior Nurse/Allied Health Professional, for which we would welcome a secondment opportunity. The post is based at Sandford Education Centre, Cheltenham General Hospital, with occasional cross-site and off-site working. This post is not suitable for Agile Working, and is office-based.

The post holder will work alongside other relevant team members within the Trust and the Generalist team within NHS England.

They will play a vital role in networking with a range of health and social care partners across all sectors of care including the voluntary sector.

They will have evidence of excellent communication skills and a desire and ability to think broadly about clinical care and approaches to quality improvement especially around patient centred care.

They will demonstrate knowledge, understanding and application of current NHS policies across healthcare systems and experience of implementation in relevant areas.

Experience of negotiating with and influencing senior managers, project leads and staff at all levels of seniority with demonstrated experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments is desirable.

Demonstrated experience of leading change projects is desirable.

An aptitude for presenting ideas and plans to healthcare colleagues, patients and carers is essential.
