Engine Dyno Technician

These are exciting times at Prodrive. Winning is a habit and whether off-road or on the track at Le Mans, it is what we do. Our new GT race and Rally Raid programmes provide us the opportunity to redefine the possible and challenge limits. This next generation of world championship winning cars that we are now developing will be our best ever.

To join us on our journey to success, we are looking for a highly experienced Engine Dyno Technician to carry out the dyno testing of our winning engines on the dyno, from a multi-cylinder Aston Martin turbo V8’s to V6 rally raid engines to flat four boxer engines.

Key Responsibilities:

Install production and development engines on the dyno for testing Maintain, report and construct the engine dyno equipment for current and new projects Assist the engineers during dyno testing Help the engine builders with mechanical checks on the dyno and post dyno Assist the workshop with engine stripping, cleaning and preparation duties Maintenance of dyno running logs

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate will have over 4 years’ experience working in high level motorsport companies in championships such as LMP, GTE, GT3 and/or Rally/Rally Raid and have a good understanding of motorsport engine functions with the ability to diagnose faults, working with motorsport engine software such as Cosworth, Motec and Marelli as an advantage. You will have the ability to work on all areas of the engine e.g. Cylinder heads, pumps, throttles, and to write test on CP Cadet or similar. You will be flexible and willing to attend race events if required.
