About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Technician to join our team at JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS. As an Engineering Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance planning team to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities.
  • Work closely with the production engineering team to implement process improvements and optimize production efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to production operators to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our production processes and equipment to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure that our maintenance activities are aligned with industry standards.

Requirements

  • Time-served apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical discipline or be multiskilled.
  • Minimum of Higher National Certificate (HNC) or equivalent qualification in engineering.
  • Experience and use of SAP maintenance program.
  • Knowledge and experience of all relevant technologies and equipment.
  • Good understanding of relevant industry standards for Mechanical & Electrical engineering.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
