Mechanical Technician

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team at JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS. As a Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines, maintaining equipment, and driving reliability improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance, autonomous maintenance, and breakdown work as required
- Take an active part in planned maintenance and repair of plant and equipment
- Work closely with the maintenance planning team and production engineering team to prioritize projects and initiatives
- Support and coach operators to maximize overall equipment effectiveness (GE)
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to drive reliability and efficiency
- Maintain good levels of housekeeping in all areas
- Attend and participate in OPS/production meetings and RCA sessions
Requirements:
- Time served apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical discipline, or be multiskilled
- Expectation to become fully multi-skilled
- Knowledge and experience of all relevant technologies and equipment
- Minimum of Higher National Certificate (HNC) or equivalent qualification in engineering
- Experience and use of SAP maintenance program
- Demonstrate good understanding of relevant industry standards for Mechanical & Electrical engineering
