About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant and equipment to minimize downtime and optimize production.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
- Collaborate with the maintenance planning team to prioritize projects and initiatives that improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and mean time between failures (MTBF).
- Support and coach operators to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their tasks safely and efficiently.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to identify and implement process improvements that enhance productivity and quality.
- Work closely with the production engineering team to develop and implement new maintenance procedures and protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards, including JDE safety standards.
Requirements
- Time-served apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical discipline, or be multiskilled.
- Expectation to become fully multi-skilled.
- Knowledge and experience of all relevant technologies and equipment.
- Minimum of Higher National Certificate (HNC) or equivalent qualification in engineering.
- Experience and use of SAP maintenance program.
- Demonstrate good understanding of relevant industry standards for Mechanical & Electrical engineering.
