Job summary

The post holder will have the responsibility for successful delivery of identified and emerging education/training and workforce programmes through the BOB AHP Faculty. This will involve providing operational and/or project management of identified function(s), team(s) and/or projects.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will:

Provide operational and project management of identified functions, teams and projects. The Project Manager has the responsibility for successful delivery of the required outcomes, within appropriate governance and assurance, monitoring progress, managing risks and issues to ensure successful business Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in a variety of settings and ensure that all processes and/or defined projects on a planned and ad hoc basis are carried out in line with local and national policies, procedures and legal requirements Support the development of identified project management functions/projects related to the development to the Faculty. Monitor and review the development and progress of work activities within defined function area(s), providing analysis and information and risk

Person Specification

Education

Essential

Educated to master's degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of experience working in specialist area. ( programme/ project management, AHP workforce development) HCPC / General Osteopathic Council registered professional

Desirable

Practice assessor/ Fieldwork educator qualification or equivalent Prince 2 or Quality Improvement Methodology or equivalent experience in project management

Experience

Essential

Experience of working under broad direction with senior colleagues in a range of organisations both NHS and non-NHS. An ability to deliver formal presentations to large senior audiences both internal and external.

Desirable

Demonstrable experience of using a range of IT, for extracting/analysing and presenting data Quality Improvement Methodology or equivalent experience in project management

Skills

Essential

Excellent MS Office skills - MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work on own initiative and without direct supervision Ability to write reports, maintain and handle large volumes of data

Desirable

Ability to work with and interact with staff at all levels, including influencing and dealing confidently with senior staff Excellent organisational skills/time management and ability to prioritise own and team workload under pressure to tight deadlines (2)
