Job summary

Working as a champion for the Allied Health Professional (AHP) support workforce, the post holder will develop and deliver a range of activities and projects to enable learning development and progression for this staff group across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire west (BOB). It is a collaborative role between the AHP Leadership team and organisational development with the ten partner organisations across the system. The post holder will lead on a programme of work aimed at developing the support worker roles across the 15 AHP professions.

Main duties of the job

Represent the views of the AHP support workforce whilst encouraging participation and leadership at all levels. Network with support workers across BOB to identify areas for skills development, sharing of good practice and extension of scope and development. Work in collaboration with AHP leads, clinical leads and other Multidisciplinary Teams colleagues to provide opportunities and frequent networking to improve recognition of the support workforce staff group. Contribute towards the development of a career pathway for non-registered staff with associated experiential, learning and education requirements.

Educated to degree level in relevant subject or willing to work towards a degree or equivalent and / or extensive and active clinical experience as an AHP support worker/ in clinical area of relevance to post including management experience

Experience and understanding of the importance of research, audit and quality improvement
