About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Blue Cedar Lodge, a supported housing scheme in Aylesbury. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support to individuals with severe and enduring mental health issues, enabling them to live independently and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to service users, promoting their independence and well-being
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as shopping, managing budgets, and housework
  • Develop and implement individual support plans, working closely with service users and their families
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as healthcare workers and social workers, to ensure comprehensive support
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a care or support setting, preferably with individuals with mental health issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users and colleagues
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays, as part of a rota system
  • Valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Commitment to equality and diversity, with a positive approach to supporting individuals with learning disabilities
