GSL Education are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant in schools located in Lincoln. This role is perfect for those who are committed to enhancing the learning experience of students and providing the necessary support to help them thrive academically and personally.
About the Role:
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will be an integral part of the educational team, working closely with teachers and other staff to deliver high-quality support to students. Your role will involve a range of responsibilities aimed at fostering an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
Level 3 Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and effective lessons, tailored to meet the needs of individual students.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them to overcome learning barriers and achieve their full potential.
- Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other support strategies for students.
- Support classroom management and promote positive behaviour, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Prepare and organise learning materials and resources to support lesson delivery.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to student reports.
- Encourage and motivate students, fostering a love for learning and promoting self-confidence.
Level 3 Teaching Assistant Job Requirements:
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is essential.
- Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with experience in supporting students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
- A proactive and flexible approach, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to adapt to varying classroom needs.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
