As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting classroom activities and facilitating student learning.

Responsibilities of the Level 2 Teaching Assistant:

  • Deliver targeted academic support, ensuring students' understanding of lesson material.
  • Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver inclusive, engaging lessons.
  • Track and report student progress, providing feedback and recommending interventions.
  • Maintain classroom discipline, fostering a respectful learning environment.
  • Prepare and organise educational resources to enhance classroom effectiveness.
  • Aid in developing and implementing IEPs for students with additional needs.

Requirements of the Level 2 Teaching Assistant:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, particularly in supporting children within a school setting.
  • Relevant qualifications, including Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, patient, empathetic and understanding approach to engaging with students, staff and families.
  • A dedication to creating a welcoming and encouraging learning environment.
