Scope of Position :
Multimatic EU-Matic is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, located in Coventry, United Kingdom. It is Multimatic’s European base for mechanisms production, supplying automotive customers with competitive, high quality hinges and door checks and Carbon Fibre parts. EU-Matic is seeking to recruit a HR Manager who will ensure fair and consistent treatment of employees, focusing on training and promoting company culture.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage all aspects of Employee Relations, including hiring, induction, performance reviews, pay and benefits, discipline, health and safety and communication. Supervise HR department employees. Advise on employment legislation and assist in problem-solving for all personnel. Develop and implement employment policies and practices. Write and manage the Company Training Plan and Budget. Prepare and adhere to departmental operating budget, implementing cost-cutting measures. Advise upper management on potential problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement. Establish, coordinate, and report on performance indicators including weekly KPI board reviews & monthly POR meetings. Conduct performance appraisals for HR Department employees. Participate in candidate selection and job advertisement. Plan and monitor Human Resources and Health and Safety systems for continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with & coordinate audit preparations, in conjunction with the Quality Manager, for IATF16949, ISO14001, ISO45001 & TISAX standards. Chair Health & Safety meetings and enforce compliance with safety rules. Perform additional duties as required by management (GM, AGMs or Directors / VPs).Key Relationships:
General Manager: Provides supervision, assigns jobs, and offers guidance. HR Department Personnel: Responsible for performance evaluations, discipline, wage determination, absenteeism, training, task assignments, and working conditions. All Division Personnel: Oversee all aspects of employment. Director of HR (Multimatic MMFG Group): Communicate divisional employment concerns. Government Agencies: Liaise on employment, Health and safety and environmental legislation. Finance Department: Provide accurate records for payroll, benefits, costing, and invoicing. Prepare and submit a departmental budget.Key areas of Authority :
Ensure Business Plan objectives are met. Follow company procedures and policies. Halt any process where quality or safety issues are identified.Basic Requirements :
Minimum of five years of combined education and experience. Three years of supervisory experience. Knowledge of Health and Safety, Labour Relations, Employment Law, Equal Opportunity, Pay Equity, Environmental Protection, and Fire Legislation. Excellent problem-solving and complaint resolution skills. Strong supervisory and management skills, including hiring, induction, performance reviews, pay administration, discipline, absenteeism, negotiation, health and safety, and employee involvement. Proficiency in computer skills (databases, spreadsheets, word processing). Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking).Measurement Bases:
Implement and maintain Kaizen Program procedures. Continuous improvement in efficiency and cost, monitored through performance indicators (e.g., Workers' Compensation costs, accident rates, absenteeism, turnover, safety compliance, job satisfaction). Adherence to the departmental budget. Feedback from key relationships. Adherence to the Business Plan.Supervisory Responsibilities :
Direct supervision of HR Administrator.Training Requirements:
