We are recruiting for The Village Pub and seeking a Junior Sous Chef to support our Sous Chefs with overseeing our small, close-knit brigade.
As Junior Sous Chef you will need to be a real leader. Having some experience in dealing with staff to support our Head Chef with the management of a kitchen team with various levels of skills and capabilities. You will be confident with overseeing of the kitchen, from maintaining supplier relationships, managing food costs, assisting with rotas to understanding health and safety regulations.

The kitchen team at The Village Pub are a small, but dynamic. You will play a vital role in encouraging team members to develop their skills and enrol in training programmes. We run an award-winning apprenticeship programme, as Sous Chef you will take an active role in leading, teaching, and inspiring the apprentices.
Come with enthusiasm, your knives and a bucketful of passion and we can help you develop the rest. Experience as a Senior CDP/Junior Sous, within a similar establishment is required.
