Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Lymphoma team at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre as a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist in Haemato- oncology as a full time fixed term CNS, to cover maternity leave.

The post holder will provide specialist advice and support to patients and their carers throughout their care pathway, as well as providing education and support to staff throughout the trust. The post holder will support the consultant team as well as delivering nurse led services for patients with haemato-oncology.

This role is currently based at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in Liverpool, however you will be required to travel to , Aintree site

You should possess advanced clinical skills, be an excellent communicator, leader and educator, and be highly motivated to lead and deliver a service. A background in cancer nursing is ideal, recent experience in working within the specialty of haemato-oncology would be essential.

? Leads the development of patientfocused education, including training toself-manage ongoing consequences oftreatment.

Qualifications

Essential

Registered General Nurse Degree in healthcare related subject Evidence of Masters level learning Post-basic qualification in cancer/palliative care or relevant specialist subject. Advanced Communications Skills training or prepared to work towards Recognised Leadership qualification

Desirable

Psychological skills training- Level 2 or above MSc Clinical Examination Msc Research qualification

Experience

Relevant post registration experience, at Band 6 or above, in cancer, palliative care or the specialty.
