The Dish

We're on the hunt for a Regional Social Media Lead become the culinary king (or queen) of our APAC social media strategy. You'll lead the charge in crafting delicious content and innovative campaigns that leverage trending conversations and drive brand success across the region. This includes overseeing social media initiatives for food and cooking projects across APAC, build and maintain strong client relationships, mentor team members, and lead our social media strategy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall social media output and push for innovative and creative approaches to drive brand goals and objectives.

Your role will include smaller lifestyle brands too, but with a high focus on food brands.

You'll Be Cooking Up

Regional Social Media Mastery: Develop and execute winning social media strategies for our food brands across APAC, ensuring everything aligns perfectly with our overall marketing goals and search trends.Lead the social media team, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality output.Stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate new and innovative social media practices to enhance brand presence and engagement.

Trendjacking Titan: Live and breathe social media trends and trending topics/hashtags, adeptly weaving them into creative and relevant content that sparks conversation and fuels engagement.

Client Whisperer: Cultivate strong and lasting relationships with our clients, understanding their needs and exceeding their wildest social media dreams.Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or feedback.

Team Mentor: Lead and inspire a high-performing social media team, fostering a collaborative growth-oriented and creative environment where ideas simmer and brilliance boils over.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Content Connoisseur: Oversee all aspects of social media content creation, ensuring exceptional quality, brand consistency, and finger-lickin' good visuals that resonate with current trends across social platforms.Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and meets client objectives.Implement trendjacking content strategies to capitalize on current trends, ensuring content remains fresh, relevant, and engaging. Innovation on a Plate: Champion groundbreaking and creative approaches to social media, staying ahead of trends and identifying opportunities to engage audiences in unexpected ways.Explore and experiment with new social media tools, platforms, and techniques to stay ahead of the competition. Data-Driven Decisions: Dive deep into social media analytics, transforming insights into actionable strategies that keep us ahead of the curve.Oversee the preparation of regular reports for clients, highlighting key achievements and areas for enhancement. KPI King/Queen: Track and report on key performance indicators, proving the power of social media in driving brand awareness, engagement, and sales.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with external brand marketing teams and internal SEO & creative departments to create a cohesive and mouthwatering brand experience across all channels.

The Ingredients We're Looking For

8+ years of proven experience leading and managing social media campaigns for the food industry in the APAC region. A deep understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok etc.) and the secret spices that make them sizzle. An insatiable passion for food and a keen eye for regional food trends, alongside a talent for spotting trending topics and events. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor content for diverse audiences. Experience in content creation (copywriting, video editing, graphic design) is a bonus, but your ability to tell a compelling story is the main course. A natural at building strong relationships and keeping clients happy. A data whiz who can translate insights into winning social media strategies. Fluency in English; Filipino, Indonesian and Malay language skills are the cherry on top.

Experience with influencer / content creator video marketing campaigns is the secret ingredient we crave. Knowledge of social media advertising platforms is the special sauce we adore.
