Job summary

This will have a significant effect on existing staff groups involved in 18 week data collection and recording as well as inpatient, outpatient and other administrative staff groups. Main duties of the job

To support validation arising out of the PAS upgrade during the initial go live and whilst Divisional and Medical Records processes are embedded within the Trust.

Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of compliance of relevant processes and procedures needed to manage an effective RTT Validation Team ensuring deliverables are met to agreed timescales and quality standards.

Planning, prioritisation and allocation of work packages for all team members.

Assisting the induction process for all new team members.

To provide specialist RTT knowledge and support for team members, as well as Outpatient and Inpatient Booking teams to improve their effectiveness.

To co-ordinate the work of the team members ensuring validation targets for both volume and accuracy are met in line with strict timescales.

To use advanced Cerner, NHS eReferral Service (eRS) skills and other electronic hospital referral ( eVetting, Hillingdon Care Record/HCR) and data systems to interpret and translate Referral to Treatment (RTT) pathway data for individual patients in accordance with agreed practices and standards to enable highly accurate submissions of this key performance indicator to the Department of Health.

Previous experience working in a role involve patient pathway management Previous NHS patient administration experience Detailed Knowledge and understanding of RTT management rules Quickly and expertly identify and investigate inconsistencies in data Ability to make judgements and generate solutions Competent in using Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, have the ability to communicate at all levels and be a team player

Desirable

Educated to a degree level or NVQ level III or equivalent NHS experience Ability to analyse and interpret complex case notes and data within core systems In-depth knowledge and experience of data handling, including sourcing data, data collection and inputting on to PAS.
