Job summary
We are currently seeking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic Band 4 Associate Practitioner, who have the relevant experience and knowledge of working with young people with Neurodiverse needs and their families, to join our innovative Hull and East Riding Children's Neurodiversity Service.
This is an exciting opportunity for the post holder to be part of a transformational service for young people with Neurodiverse needs.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for: -
Support young people with Neurodiverse needs and their families by reviewing and triaging Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) referrals.
Support and operate the on-line and paper referral systems, and triage inputting onto Lorenzo and other clinical systems.
Undertake general enquiry calls from families and professionals and provide advice as required.
Complete school observations as requested by a clinician as part of a young person's diagnostic assessment for Autism and/or ADHD.
Review and collate relevant information and map this onto a template to support clinicians as part of a young person's diagnostic assessment for Autism and/or ADHD.
Assist with QB testing as requested by a clinician as part of a young person's diagnostic assessment for ADHD.
Undertake specific skilled support work and/or clinical tasks with minimum supervision.

Knowledge
Essential
Knowledge of Neurodiverse conditions Standard IT skills
Desirable
An understanding of relevant policy, legislation drivers and their application to children and young people Knowledge of healthcare record keeping systems and processes
Experience
Essential
Demonstrable experience of working with children and young people Interest in working with children and young people with Neurodiverse needs
Desirable
Experience with working with different external agencies Demonstrable experience of working within Neurodiversity Services
Qualifications
Essential
Relevant NVQ level 4 or Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care OR NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, plus demonstrable working experience in the field of care

Willingness to undertake relevant training/development/CPD
Skills
Essential
Evidence of effective inter-personal communication skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team
