Role responsibilities

The Head of Contract Management sets policy and direction for our contract management activities, working alongside the Markets and Supply Chain and Procurement teams in the delivery of these activities.

Govern compliance across the organisation by overseeing the alignment with the contract management policy and processes to ensure best practice and to minimise contractual risk. Establish contract governance processes in the business by design procedures that align with best practice and overseeing routine reviews are in place for each contract to ensure compliance with legislation. Oversee the contract management system by creating assessable information actively used to monitor performance and risk to ensure the contract management team can identify essential contract information (such as values, contract life, designated contract owner) for effective contract management. Assure the accountability of contract ownership by overseeing the identification of a 'Designated Contract Owner' for every contract owned and provide sufficient training to enable effective performance their contract ownership responsibilities.

Who we’re looking for

Qualified to Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) standard – MCIPS (or equivalent) or considerable relevant experience and a willingness to study to MCIPS standard. Demonstrable experience of managing complex and high value contracts, with a particular focus on post-contract management. Experience of developing and implementing policies and processes in a complex company or organisation. Experience of working within the requirements of Public Contracts Regulations.

Welsh Language Skills

The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
