Grain Accounting Specialist – Lincoln, NE

This is a full time, non exempt position
 
MAIN FUNCTION: this individual will report to the Office Supervisor, this position is part of the commercial merchandising team at the location. The Grain Accounting Specialist will be proficient in multiple systems within the major areas of the Clerical function, Grain Settlements, Meal Transactions, and Plant Operations. Clerical duties and tasks are standardized. The Grain Accounting Specialist will also perform routine clerical functions, including filing, answering phones, distributing materials, record retention. Cross training in other functions.

Initiative Accuracy (Quality of Work) – Detail Oriented Results Orientation (Quantity of Work) Team Player Learning Ability/Flexibility Attendance/Punctuality  Quality Customer Service Multi-Tasking DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED:  Generate and maintain Vendor Accounts Verify Lien Holders Process Corn & Soybean Settlements ( truck and rail ) Address and resolve vendor issues in a timely manner General Clerical Functions Document scanning and/or filing Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned REQUIREMENTS: 2+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting High School diploma or GED Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.  A confident and courteous manner. Strong attention to detail and organization skills Ability to hear and speak clearly; read, comprehend, and communicate, orally and in writing Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, heavy phone use, standing, bending, and kneeling. In office work hours 7:30 :30 Some overtime may be needed. Excited about this role but don’t meet every requirement listed?
