Grain Accounting Specialist

Main Functions:
The Grain Accounting Specialist will be responsible for reporting to the Office Supervisor and working as part of the commercial merchandising team at the location. This individual will be proficient in multiple systems within the major areas of the Clerical function, Grain Settlements, Meal Transactions, and Plant Operations. Key responsibilities include performing routine clerical functions, including filing, answering phones, distributing materials, record retention, and cross-training in other functions.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
Responsibilities include generating and maintaining Vendor Accounts, verifying Lien Holders, processing Corn & Soybean Settlements (truck and rail), addressing and resolving vendor issues in a timely manner, general Clerical Functions, document scanning and/or filing, and performing other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting
- High School diploma or GED
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, heavy phone use, standing, bending, and kneeling
