Grain Accounting Specialist

About the Role
This is a full-time, non-exempt position that reports to the Office Supervisor. The Grain Accounting Specialist will be part of the commercial merchandising team at the ADM location in Lincoln, NE.
Main Function
The Grain Accounting Specialist will be proficient in multiple systems within the major areas of the Clerical function, Grain Settlements, Meal Transactions, and Plant Operations. The role involves performing routine clerical functions, including filing, answering phones, distributing materials, and record retention. Cross-training in other functions is also required.

Description of Work Performed
- Generate and maintain Vendor Accounts
- Verify Lien Holders
- Process Corn & Soybean Settlements (truck and rail)
- Address and resolve vendor issues in a timely manner
- General Clerical Functions
- Document scanning and/or filing
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting
- High School diploma or GED
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- A confident and courteous manner
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to hear and speak clearly; read, comprehend, and communicate, orally and in writing
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, heavy phone use, standing, bending, and kneeling
- In office work hours 7:30-30, some overtime may be needed
