As our Environment Advisor, you will be instrumental in supporting the Port of Dover's ambitious sustainability targets. Your role will involve providing timely advice and innovative solutions related to environmental and sustainability issues within port operations and development. You will maintain and enhance the environmental elements of our integrated management system and collaborate with the Environment and Sustainability Manager to propel our business forward. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, improving performance, and promoting our environmental accomplishments.

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

Environment Advisor Requirements:

  • Degree in Marine or Environmental Science, or similar
  • Working knowledge of ISO14001
  • Familiarity with environmental legislation and its application
  • Experience in monitoring and auditing environmental and sustainability performance
  • Excellent analytical, research, and report writing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365
  • Ability to access heights and work on vessels in the harbour environment
  • Participation in an out of hours on-call rota
  • Full UK driving licence
