Job description

Job responsibilities

Tobe responsible for the systematic provision of Specialist ClinicalPsychological Services to mothers with acute perinatal mental healthdifficulties admitted to the Rosewood mother and baby unit (MBU).

Toundertake high quality direct (assessment and therapeutic) and indirect(consultative, advisory and evaluative) specialist psychology interventionswithin the MBU taking substantial professional responsibility and exercisingautonomous judgement in their professional practice.

Toensure the clinical effectiveness of own practice and of service functioning byundertaking research and development activities relevant to the MBU.

Towork as a member of the multidisciplinary team in the MBU, liaising closelywith the Perinatal Service Manager, Ward Manager, Consultant Psychiatrist andother team members.

Towork as a member of the MBU and liaise with other members for co-ordination andsupport.

Toseek professional supervision, support and development from the PsychologyProfessional Network in the Trust and from Regional Psychology Meetings.

Toreport to the Clinical Lead for Specialist Psychological Services through regularindividual meetings.

Need to be registered with HCPC In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of: Relevant Qualifications Registration with the relevant Registration Body

Experience

Perinatal experince Experience of working as a qualified specialist clinical psychologist for a minimum of two years in Adult Mental Health. Experience of minimum 50 hours specialist clinical supervision in Adult Mental Health. Experience of supervision psychological in delivering therapeutic interventions work.
