Job summary

An opportunity has opened for a confident and motivated individual to join our pharmacy cancer services team. Cancer services have had to adapt hugely during this pandemic, and at DGT we continue to improve our pathways to ensure our patients get the best care possible.

We are a closely-knitted team, and have strong working relationships with our local cancer services team, as well as the regional Kent and Medway Cancer Collaborative and GSTT Alliance.

At Darent Valley, we emphasise on the importance of holistic patient care. An ideal candidate would be a pharmacist who wants to specialised in oncology/haematology, whilst looking to maintain generalist practices.

You will have opportunities to be involved in numerous quality improvement projects. You will be supported for your development and encouraged to come up with innovative ways to improve our patients' care and experience.

It is certainly an exciting time to join us at DVH. You can be a part of our extraordinary team, striving to excel for our patients

We require a motivated and confident individual to join our Pharmacy Cancer services team.

The innovative use of IT is important to us and we are continually looking for new opportunities. We have robotic dispensing, bar-coded prescription tracking, electronic discharge and mobile prescribing intervention systems and also the use of the ARIA electronic prescribing system for cancer.

The department is friendly and supportive, operating within a modern environment.

The post will be based at the pharmacy department Darent Valley Hospital, and we are looking for a person, who can work both on the wards as well as in the chemotherapy dispensary.

Candidates must be enthusiastic and innovative and able to communicate ideas clearly and effectively. You must possess good IT skills.
