We’re on the lookout for a Security Specialist or Engineer

Eficode is looking for an experienced Security Specialist or Engineer for our Security Team. The role is primarily focused on managed services security but will share duties with the wider security organization at Eficode.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with managed services technical teams to support and guide security-related processes and tasks.
  • Collaborate with customers on security-related topics.
  • Take part in security awareness programs, developing and refining security processes, and incident management protocols.
  • Conduct thorough security reporting and drive continuous improvement in our security practices within the business area.
  • Integrate IT security controls into business area operations.
  • Take the lead in monitoring and responding to security incidents in our environments, ensuring swift detection and response.
  • Coordinate response and recovery activities during incidents as part of our incident management efforts, ensuring continuous business operations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure optimal operation of our ISO 27001-certified security system.
  • Mentor and train your colleagues on the industry's best practices.
  • Develop our security practices and processes to help us scale further securely-
  • Play a pivotal role in sustaining and enhancing the security posture of our systems and processes.
  • Engage in proactive learning and development to stay ahead of security trends and technologies.
  • Provide coaching and training to colleagues, fostering a culture of security awareness and competence.

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal Security Specialist or Engineer is someone who:

  • Has a minimum 5 years relevant experience with a proven track record of success in IT security operations.
  • Has experience in Cloud Security, with a focus on securing cloud-based infrastructure and services.
  • Holds an information technology or security degree (bachelor's or higher).
  • Is skilled in cybersecurity tools and software applications.
  • Demonstrates analytical thinking capabilities and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Can communicate effectively in English.
  • Shares our continuous learning and knowledge-sharing culture.
  • Has experience with security process management and incident response.
  • Conducts training sessions and presentations.
  • Collaborates effectively with different teams, technical and non-technical.

It’s advantageous if you have:

  • Previous experience in managed services environments.
  • Experience with security certifications and frameworks such as CIS, NIST, ISO/IEC 27000 Series.
