Infrastructure Security Specialist
This position focuses on maintaining the integrity and security of the organization's IT systems, ensuring they are operational, updated, and safeguarded to meet the requirements of both internal teams and external clients. The role demands extensive expertise in securing both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructures, applying industry best practices to identify and mitigate potential security threats, as well as innovating and implementing future system architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee SAN and Hyper-V Server clusters that support various applications, including Active Directory, web services, databases, and file storage.
- Administer Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, collaborating with developers to design Azure environments for upcoming application deployments.
- Supervise Azure deployments and manage the upgrade processes for installed applications.
- Ensure security measures around Active Directory and Azure, including managing port forwarding and reverse proxy configurations.
- Conduct reviews of internal systems and security protocols for Active Directory and Azure.
- Establish and maintain firewall rules and policies to protect network security.
- Perform vulnerability assessments across all infrastructure components.
- Execute internal penetration tests and coordinate external security assessments.
Required Skills:
Essential: Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in:
- Active Directory management.
- Server and SAN hardware, preferably HP.
- LAN hardware, including switches and access points.
- Management of corporate-level firewalls.
- Comprehensive understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, subnetting, and routing protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing Azure and Azure Active Directory.
- Administration of Microsoft SQL Server.
- Relevant certifications from Microsoft or CompTIA.
- Experience with corporate-level firewalls, wireless access points, and client devices.
- Familiarity with Power Automate.
- Experience in software systems testing.
- Knowledge of ITIL and ISO27001 standards.
