The post holder will be a clinically credible current practitioner who promotes innovation and
up to date evidence based practice.
The post holder will assist and support the development, implementation and delivery of Trust wide MIS training for Maternity staff, including support staff and the medical teams, in line with local Trust and National
Priorities; the role of the Trainer Midwife is to support the maternity information team with the role out of mandated BadgerNet training and to support the wider team with BadgerNet training needs.
To support wider Digital Maternity Team as required with Badgernet Data quality and responsibilities relevant to role.
Main duties of the job
Patient/ Client Care:
alongside staff in the clinical area to promote MIS learning and raise standards of care
as an assessor to ensure staff meet the competencies required for their role in relation to MIS training needs
as a role model maintaining a high profile by providing expert knowledge and advice in relation to the MIS
4.Diversity and disability requirements and other related policies which impact upon educational programmes
Policy and Service Development
1.Participates in departmental strategy development and planning
2.Continually reviews the way training and education is delivered to ensure it meets service needs
3.Utilises appropriate change management strategies to facilitate change in the clinical environment and across the Trust as appropriate
Information Resources
1.Working with the MIS team to ensure robust records of training and attendance at are maintained
2.Participates in the planning of new IT systems if required.
3.Supports the development of electronic learning resources
4.Assists in change management and implementation of new ways of working
