Cardiff, United Kingdom University of South Wales Full time
Job description

We are seeking to recruit a Student Voice Officer to evaluate and enhance student representation and feedback mechanisms. You will particularly work to promote good relations and practices, as an advocate for our student community, and to embed these within our systematic quality enhancement processes. Reporting to the Student Casework Manager, and working closely with other staff, this role will afford the College the opportunity to consider, not least in relation to a key agenda of equality, diverstiy and inclusion, how enhancement of the student voice can be embedded into our academic provision, ethos and strategic development.

The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama (RWCMD) provides pioneering performance-based training to over 800 of the most talented actors, musicians, stage technicians, scenic designers and arts managers from more than 40 countries. It is also one of Cardiff's most prolific and popular arts venues attracting audiences of over 60,000 each year. It is based at the stunning landmark building in the heart of Cardiff, overlooking beautiful, urban parkland just a 5-minute walk to the city centre.

With a distinctive and distinguished track record of 75 years in professional training in Music and Drama, including being rated top UK drama school in the Guardian League tables on several occasions, the College has in the last decade established itself as a major cultural institution in Wales, with outstanding premises, pioneering industry partnerships, and a vibrant events programme. The College nurtures the next generations of contemporary professionals, who are industry-ready for international careers.

Our reputation is built on excellence by supporting our employees to develop the highest level of talents and skills. We are an inclusive space for everyone and a community thriving on respect and celebrating difference. We are committed to creating a workforce that is representative of society.

We offer a number of employee benefits including an excellent pension scheme and generous annual leave.

We are committed to creating a workforce that is representative of society. Currently, people from ethnically diverse communities, those who self-identify as disabled, neurodiverse and transgender, and Welsh speaking individuals are under-represented, so we are keen to hear from candidates from these under-represented groups.

The College is committed to its will offer support and training for the successful candidate to learn Welsh.

If you are a successful candidate and this position will be your first professional services role at the College you will be employed by Professional and Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of South Wales, which provides services to the University and College. If you are an internal professional services candidate, from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. You will continue to be employed by the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Please contact for further questions.
