In this brand new role you will take overall responsibility for purchasing stock for the whole branch and then stock control. Ensuring that the right goods are in stock to satisfy customer demand. Making sure all stock has the right location and any problems/queries are dealt with efficiently to reduce issues with good received.

Ideally you will have previous experience of stock purchase and stock control. Previous builders merchant background/experience would be a distinct advantage as you will need to know our full product range. You should also have excellent communication skills, good computer literacy (including a good working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets) and a high level of numeracy. Your approach to work will be logical, methodical and accurate. You will need to have a confident and professional telephone manner to discuss and negotiate prices of products from suppliers.
