The Nursery at Whitehouse Farm, based within the idyllic grounds of Whitehouse Farm Centre in Morpeth, we can cater for up to 80 children per day.

We are looking to appoint an experienced Nursery cook/housekeeper to work alongside our current cook.

The ideal applicant will
- Cook meals in our on-site kitchen.
- Clean and shut down kitchen.
- Keep an up to date record of necessary paper work.
- Carry out any food inspections.
- Have experience planning and ordering ingredients, working to a set menu
- Preparing and cooking heathy meals, working to strict food hygiene systems
- Stock control/Responsible for ordering stock of cleaning products.
- Have experience working around allergies and intolerances
- Ensure a safe and clean kitchen is maintained
- Training on food safety, hygiene, allergies and other key areas
- refreshers will be provided
- Assist with laundry when necessary.
- Cleaning public areas.
- Servicing bathrooms throughout the day
- Engage positively with children and parents

PREREQUISITES:

- Communicate clearly and effectively.
- Positive attitude and approach to work.
- Flexibility to assist in all Housekeeping areas.
- Ensure all equipment used is used in-line with training.
- Pride in maintaining standards
- Ability to work in a team and take instruction.
- Report any maintenance issues to your line manager immediately.

**The Nursery is committed to safeguarding A full DBS CHECK and 2 references must be provided prior employment**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.62-£11.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Chef: 1 year (preferred)
- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
- Kitchen experience: 1 year (preferred)
