Veterinary Receptionist

A vacancy has arisen at our independent farm animal veterinary practice.

Founded in 2018, we are a team of six vets and two support staff. Our focus is on providing an excellent veterinary service to the local farming community.

As such, our ‘front-of-house’ team is fundamental to the practice and so we are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and flexible individual to join our friendly and at times, busy team. The ability to work on your own but also as part of a team is essential.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greeting farming clients and answering the phone
- Diary management - booking in calls and farm visits
- Providing excellent customer service to clients, visitors, and staff
- Cleaning and general infection control
- Ordering veterinary drugs and stock
- General duties to ensure efficient day to day running of the practice
- Collecting payments for services or medications from clients
- Helping with cleaning surgical kits, instruments and veterinary consumables
- Assisting with admin including accounting software and invoicing
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Must be available to work Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
- Be able to work a flexible schedule to cover holidays as needed.
- Understand the importance of confidentiality.
- Good computer and communication skills are essential.

Pay: £11.44 - £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 26 - 32 per week
