Leading a cross functional team, that is part of product portfolio within the business (such as Research or Pre-Travel)Gain a deep understanding of our customer, helping build a product strategy to deliver the best experiences within your area of ownership.Work with senior levels of the business to define the objectives, outcomes and roadmaps for your area of responsibility in line with the tactical and strategic needs of the business.Ensure your product teams validate the feasibility and deliver solutions that our users want and deliver against our business objectives.Working with your team to define the big problem statements you need to tackle and why, helping define the opportunities to solve these problems.Keep your team accountable to creating and validating great ideas, ship releases, all with purpose and reason.Own the outcomes of your team You will need to utilise data to track metrics that are important and show that you are improving them based on a clear set of objectives.Working closely with your equivalent roles in other functions such as business analysis, design and technology to ensure the objectives, outcomes and roadmap of your team is feasible and you have all the required resources to deliver against it.Working closely with your counterparts on your portfolio leadership team to help deliver the wider ambitions of the business, delivering what is best for the business both tactically and strategically.
To do this you will:
Work hand in hand with internal departments and senior leaders to understand the objectives and needs of the business, then translate them to your product group to allow you to build a feasible product strategy.Work closely with counterparts in design, business analysis and software engineering to build resource plans to gain buy in and execute against your product strategy.Coach your team to define problem statements, ideate effectively and create the best solutions for our customers and users.Empower your teams to make decisions and become accountable to the outcomes you agree with them. Give them the confidence to be the experts in their area of expertise.Keep everyone who needs to know in the know, whether that's defining objectives, prioritising and agreeing roadmaps or keeping people informed of releases and recent successes.Manage your team with empathy and integrity.
What you'll have:
