An exciting opportunity has arisen for a secondment opportunity to join the cancer service division. The Clinical Transform Lead operates as a member of the Outpatient transformation team to provide project and change management leadership skills in order to facilitate service and system-led transformational change within the Outpatient Directorate.

The post holder will be responsible for the successful delivery of defined projects to secure improvements to patient services and clinical pathways as agreed by the Directorate management team. The post holder will plan, organise and undertake the direct delivery of a range of activities to achieve agreed project outcomes. Work-streams will incorporate involving and collaborating with functions from across the Trust and at times primary care. The post holder will be responsible for reporting on all aspects of the project, including escalation and problem solving where project milestones are at risk. We are looking for someone has a clinical background and experience in developing clinical pathways such as straight to test.

Main duties of the job

Qualifications

Essential criteria

First level registered Nurse. A proven track record of operational service management at a senior level in an acute hospital environment, including staff management, financial management and change management. Broad clinical experience relevant to the post.

Desirable criteria

Project Management qualification Training/qualification in the use of recognised redesign tools/ techniques e.g. LEAN, QSIR

Knowledge

Essential criteria

Demonstrable experience of building problem-solving, action-orientated relationships with staff/stakeholders. Identification, assimilation and application of evidence and/or best practice Successful management of straight to test pathways inc faster diagnosis Delivery of changes to operational systems and/or processes Experience of identification and management of risks Setting and measuring performance standards Evidence of working with multi-disciplinary teams/groups

Desirable criteria

Experience of working in outpatients and setting up new clinical pathways in healthcare. Evidence of supporting the development of new clinical guidance, policies or processes Use of healthcare benchmarking tools Experience & evidence of implementing a redesign programme in a health care setting and utilising relevant improvement tools Experience of designing, leading or participating in qualitative and quantitative evaluations Experience of designing and leading or participating in Digital Transformation

Structured and organised approach to work with good attention to detail Ability to anticipate and resolve problems before they arise. Ability to quality assess and review complex information, data and/or evidence from a wide range of sources (inc relevant internet sites or publications) and summarise key points and implications. Well-developed facilitation skills Good time management skills Good interpersonal and effective communication skills and ability to liaise with all levels and disciplines of staff Ability to produce and deliver professional presentations to groups Able to produce clear, concise written reports
