Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Transformation Lead to join the Cancer Service Division at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. The successful candidate will operate as a member of the Outpatient Transformation Team, providing project and change management leadership skills to facilitate service and system-led transformational change within the Outpatient Directorate.

Main Responsibilities

The Clinical Transformation Lead will be responsible for the successful delivery of defined projects to secure improvements to patient services and clinical pathways as agreed by the Directorate management team. This will involve planning, organising, and undertaking the direct delivery of a range of activities to achieve agreed project outcomes. Work-streams will incorporate involving and collaborating with functions from across the Trust and at times primary care.

The post holder will be responsible for reporting on all aspects of the project, including escalation and problem-solving where project milestones are at risk. The successful candidate will have a clinical background and experience in developing clinical pathways, such as straight to test.

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital trust in the south-east of England. We provide a full range of general hospital services and some aspects of specialist and complex care to around 600,000 people living in west Kent and East Sussex. Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a first-level registered nurse qualification and a proven track record of operational service management at a senior level in an acute hospital environment. They will also have broad clinical experience relevant to the post and be able to demonstrate experience of building problem-solving, action-orientated relationships with staff/stakeholders.

The successful candidate will also have experience of managing straight to test pathways, including faster diagnosis, and delivering changes to operational systems and/or processes. They will be able to identify and manage risks, set and measure performance standards, and work with multi-disciplinary teams/groups.
