Head of Corporate Services Procurement

The role
reports into the Director of Procurement and will form part of the Procurement Leadership team.What will you be doing?
• Working with C-Suite executives within and outside DCC to set and implement, sourcing and procurement strategies for all Corporate Services 3rd party spend.
• Providing thought leadership on sourcing models to meet the different needs of the business – from catalogue and auctions through to complex multi-year transformational Procurement activity.
• Accountable for the development of all Corporate Services (Professional Services, FM, Marketing, Logistics, Outsourcing) related category strategies that are fully aligned with the business to maximise value for money
• Leadership and development of a Corporate Services Procurement team of 8, and transformation to being an outstanding team.
• Understanding of regulated and a non-regulated procurement environments. Ideally with reference to secure and critical national industries.
• Negotiation of supplier contracts, incorporating key commercial and contractual requirements
• Being an ambassador for the commercial capability of DCC
What are we looking for?
• Significant Sourcing experience with a demonstrable track record of savings delivery with significant Category Management experience, namely in the Corporate Services domain
• Strong research and analytical capabilities, in particular supply market research, spend analysis, business requirements analysis and bidder response evaluation
• Proven level of negotiation and dispute resolution skill set, able to navigate and influence, in complex, secure and regulated environment, to drive change
• Experience with cross-functional collaborative working methods
• Solution driven, innovator, focusing on total cost and value creation
• Excellent, proven level of line management experience focusing on People development
environment.
• Being a dynamic, forward-thinking self-starter, who can drive performance and best-practice procurement within a changing and evolving environment.
