Job Summary:
Smart DCC is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Procurement and Service Management to join our team. As a key member of our Procurement Leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of sourcing and procurement strategies for all Corporate Services 3rd party spend.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing: Work with C-Suite executives to set and implement sourcing and procurement strategies for all Corporate Services 3rd party spend.
- Thought Leadership: Provide thought leadership on sourcing models to meet the different needs of the business, from catalogue and auctions through to complex multi-year transformational Procurement activity.
- Category Management: Develop and implement category strategies for Corporate Services (Professional Services, FM, Marketing, Logistics, Outsourcing) that are fully aligned with the business to maximise value for money.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a Corporate Services Procurement team of 8, and transform the team into an outstanding team.
- Procurement Expertise: Have a deep understanding of regulated and non-regulated procurement environments, ideally with reference to secure and critical national industries.
- Negotiation and Contracting: Negotiate supplier contracts, incorporating key commercial and contractual requirements.
- Commercial Ambassador: Be an ambassador for the commercial capability of Smart DCC.
Requirements:
- Experience: Significant sourcing experience with a demonstrable track record of savings delivery and category management experience in the Corporate Services domain.
- Research and Analysis: Strong research and analytical capabilities, particularly in supply market research, spend analysis, business requirements analysis, and bidder response evaluation.
- Leadership: Excellent level of line management experience focusing on people development.
- Personal Qualities: Be a dynamic, forward-thinking self-starter who can drive performance and best-practice procurement within a changing and evolving environment.
