Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Head of Procurement and Service Management to join our team at Smart DCC. As a key member of our Procurement Leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing and procurement strategies for all Corporate Services 3rd party spend.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Sourcing Strategies: Work with C-Suite executives to set and implement sourcing and procurement strategies for all Corporate Services 3rd party spend.
- Provide Thought Leadership: Provide thought leadership on sourcing models to meet the different needs of the business, from catalogue and auctions to complex multi-year transformational Procurement activity.
- Category Strategy Development: Develop and implement all Corporate Services (Professional Services, FM, Marketing, Logistics, Outsourcing) related category strategies that are fully aligned with the business to maximize value for money.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a Corporate Services Procurement team of 8, and transform the team into an outstanding team.
- Regulated and Non-Regulated Procurement: Understand and navigate regulated and non-regulated procurement environments, ideally with reference to secure and critical national industries.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate supplier contracts, incorporating key commercial and contractual requirements.
- Commercial Ambassador: Be an ambassador for the commercial capability of DCC.
- Significant Sourcing Experience: Significant sourcing experience with a demonstrable track record of savings delivery and significant Category Management experience, namely in the Corporate Services domain.
- Research and Analytical Capabilities: Strong research and analytical capabilities, in particular supply market research, spend analysis, business requirements analysis, and bidder response evaluation.
- Line Management Experience: Excellent, proven level of line management experience focusing on People development.
- Dynamic and Forward-Thinking: Be a dynamic, forward-thinking self-starter, who can drive performance and best-practice procurement within a changing and evolving environment.
