Directorate General manager- Emergency care
Directorate General Manager of Emergency Care - West Integrated Health Community seeks a skilled and motivated Directorate General Manager of Emergency Care to lead our emergency services. This critical role involves the overall management, strategic planning, and operational delivery of emergency care, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. Key responsibilities include developing strategies to improve patient flow, managing budgets and resources, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. You will collaborate with clinical leaders, staff, and external stakeholders to drive service improvements and innovation in emergency care. The ideal candidate will have extensive healthcare management experience, particularly in emergency services, with a proven track record of leadership and service development. Strong skills in leading multidisciplinary teams, managing complex projects, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment are essential. Main duties of the job
Day to day Hospital Operations Delivery of patient care maintaining high standards of service across the site Strategic planning Accountable for the directorate budget and associated Responsible for the Directorate's 5 year rolling capital planning process, ensuring capital assets are managed effectively.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Post Graduate Degree in relevant subject Evidence of ongoing Professional/Managerial Development Managerial Qualification Professional / Managerial development in relevant area to masters equivalent

Masters in management or equivalent.
Experience

Project management experience Experience of implementing innovations and managing change within clinical environments - multi site Substantial experience of operating effectively at a senior level within the organisation. Experience of clinical audit and implementation of actions Experience of multi professional working at a senior level / working effectively with other stakeholders Substantial budget management service Operational management experience

Experience in unscheduled care and scheduled care Site Management (minimum 8a)
Aptitude and Abilities
Essential
The post holder will be highly skilled at communicating orally and in writing at all levels. Ability to think laterally, prioritise effectively, analyse and solve complex problems.
