Directorate General Manager of Emergency Care

Job Summary
The Directorate General Manager of Emergency Care is responsible for leading the emergency services team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. This critical role involves the overall management, strategic planning, and operational delivery of emergency care, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Main Responsibilities
- Developing strategies to improve patient flow and manage budgets and resources
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and collaborating with clinical leaders, staff, and external stakeholders to drive service improvements and innovation in emergency care
- Leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to make a difference in the lives of patients and contribute to the success of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The ideal candidate will have extensive healthcare management experience, particularly in emergency services, with a proven track record of leadership and service development.
Key Requirements
- Post Graduate Degree in a relevant subject
- Evidence of ongoing Professional/Managerial Development
- Managerial Qualification
- Professional/Managerial development in a relevant area to masters equivalent
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Masters in Management or equivalent
- Experience in unscheduled care and scheduled care
- Site Management (minimum 8a)
