Our Executive Chef role is a key position in the future development of this exciting business and will be instrumental in achieving our commitment to our food strategy and our net zero commitments in 2027. You will work closely with the SEC Food, Levy UK and the SEC leadership team, developing an outstanding culinary experience for all visitors. You will have accountability for the overall success of the daily culinary operations whilst also leading and developing the culinary structure across the campus.

More about the role:

You will have experience of leading a busy kitchen providing a high volume of quality food preparation across 7 days, ideally with experience of large venue catering for a range of conference, exhibition, and live entertainment market. Working with the Head of Operations, you will be involved in menu development, planning and costings, training of Head Chefs, Sous Chef and Apprentices, you will be committed in the delivery of key performance indicators such as gross profit levels, wage costs in the kitchen and customer satisfaction.

This position will require the skills of a dedicated professional who has the imagination, flair and commitment to assist in the development and growth of an already established food venue.

Who you are:
  • You will play a pivotal role in the Senior Leadership Team and must be quick-thinking, adaptable and calm under pressure. You will be ambitious, confident, and resilient, someone who take a hands-on approach and enjoys leading a talented brigade
  • You will have a real passion for fresh ingredients and enjoy creating stunning menus time and time again, with a proven track record in high quality environments. You will be able to adapt the onsite food strategy and continue to develop utilising fresh and seasonal product whilst adopting a plant forward approach. Confidence is key with the ability to demonstrate your own style with finesse and flair and illustrate how you keep pace with food trends and translate them to exciting and appealing menu and food offers. We have a guest first approach and you will showcase how you are able to adapt style to a broad range of experiences
  • You will be commercially minded with evidence of successfully managing costs in line with exceptional delivery and evidence experience of supervising or managing people
