As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will work on building generative AI inference infrastructure at an unprecedented scale. You’ll be responsible for our REST APIs and backend systems. The ideal candidate is product-minded, has strong coding skills, and experience building and deploying software at scale. You should enjoy working with a fast-paced team to build amazing products while maintaining high engineering standards.

Responsibilities
  • Generative AI Infrastructure: Build and maintain the infrastructure for generative AI inference at scale.
  • API and Backend Development: Design, develop, and manage REST APIs and backend systems.
  • Product Focus: Work closely with the team to develop products that matter to users.

Requirements

Experience
  • Engineering Experience: 5+ years of engineering experience in various tech environments, including product-driven companies.
  • Backend Skills: Strong Python skills and deep understanding of end-to-end backend systems, databases, and authorization.
  • Frontend Skills: Experience with JavaScript and React for front-end development, and proficiency in any backend language, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn across the stack.
  • Startup Experience: Prior experience working in startup environments, either as a founder or an early-stage engineer.
  • API Experience: Experience working with user-facing APIs.
  • Note: This role is not suitable for recent graduates.
