Trust Fellow (Equiv. ST6+) in ECMO & Cardiac Intensive Care

Applications are invited for Clinical Fellowship positions in ECMO and Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust.

These posts are suitable for a specialty trainee (ST6 and above), equivalent trainee, or post CCST to gain additional specialist experience and open to both national and international applicants.

The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Great Ormond Street Hospital with 19 commissioned beds is one of the largest in the UK dedicated to the care of children with congenital and acquired heart disease with over 700 admissions annually.

The unit provides comprehensive care for critically ill children with complex heart disease including nearly 600 open heart surgeries/year. In addition, the unit provides care for 5 highly specialised services which include extracorporeal life support (ECLS) for neonatal and paediatric respiratory failure, mechanical circulatory support including ventricular assist devices (VAD) programme, heart/lung transplantation (largest in Europe), dedicated national Tracheal programme and national paediatric Pulmonary Hypertension Service.

Main duties of the job

Cardiac Critical Care
