About the role: We currently have fantastic opportunities available for Water Network Technicians to join our team based in Exeter. You will join us on a Permanent Full-Time basis , and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £26, - £ 33, per annum, plus excellent benefits (pay award pending). Do you like working out in the field and dealing with customers? In this role you will be responsible for managing network operations 24/7, ensuring we deliver a safe and continuous high-quality supply to our customers. 

What you'll be doing:

Day to day operation of the water distribution network system while providing excellent customer services Understanding and putting into practice hydraulic principles to support a calm network  Taking responsibility for your own safety and the safety of everyone around you  Effectively using work management tools to raise network repair jobs to our partners and provide timely and accurate feedback Understanding your actions may have an impact on the environment and what you must do to mitigate this impact  To assist the maintenance team in activities, and ensure these can be undertaken with minimum impact on the network and the customer  You will be the point of contact for resolving incidents providing advice and dealing with issues, such as Supply Interruptions  Routinely inspecting the important assets, which include the mains network, booster stations and service reservoirs  Work independently in and out of normal working hours – standby work is essential 

What we are looking for:

Experience of working within a water supply environment is desirable Good organisational skills, self motivation and the ability to prioritise workload Excellent communication skills, both oral and written A minimum of a GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths  A full clean driving licence  The ability to work within our Homesafe Policy
