Job summary

At CUH we invest in education, learning, development and innovative ways of working. Teaching is central to CUH's purpose, and we are looking for an experienced Educator to join our Non-medical Clinical Education team to operationally lead education and training of Clinical Support Workers (CSW) across the organisation. You will work in collaboration with the Lead Nurse for CSW to broaden and deepen the skills and knowledge of our CSW. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will lead a team of Associate Educators and Clinical Facilitators to deliver and evaluate high quality education both in the classroom and clinical area.

As part of the wider education team you will be pivotal in supporting all learners to develop their careers, expand their knowledge and skills through education and training. You will work in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of education aligns to the Trust strategy and the Heath Education England Quality Framework. Working in collaboration with the Lead Nurse you will provide assurance to the Senior Management Team that educational governance and quality are a priority.

Main duties of the job

To work across CUHFT as operational lead for non-medical clinical education and support in the Trust:

Lead, plan, implement and evaluate education and training programmes for learners ensuring all training and support meet relevant National guidelines and and facilitate the development of staff within clinical collaboratively with the non-medical clinical tutor and education team in the planning, delivery and evaluation of learning; including educational activities and support.Undertake corporate project work and evaluations linked to development, education and educational reports when required for the trust board.

Qualifications

Essential

Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC Educated to degree level Qualification in education/ teaching Evidence of continuous professional development. Practice Assessor/mentor qualification

Master's degree or relevant higher qualification Leadership qualification/ module
