What you will be doing;

We're looking for a Digital Project Manager to join our Digital Delivery team on a fixed term basis for 12 months. As our Digital Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving organisational efficiency, effectiveness and innovation by overseeing the planning, execution and successful delivery of strategic business process improvement initiatives. Working closely with our Business Process Improvement (Automation) Programme Manager, you will be supporting project delivery across the following three areas;

Automation Discovery: Process and tasks mapping across HQ. Low/ No Code Solutions: PowerApps, Power Platforms, Dynamics 365. Deploying Digital Assistants: AI-powered digital tools deployed across HQ.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the LNER digital delivery governance process is followed and making sure that the correct activities, resources, and budgets and being organized appropriately to ensure expected outcomes are achieved and delivered against company strategy, commitments and goals.

You will also be involved in;

Proactively managing dependencies, overcoming obstacles and getting the best value against constraints. Adhering to and evolving the Portfolio Framework. Working with key stakeholders to deliver projects to agreed timescales, and to budget. Exercising control over projects so they are delivered in a predictable manner. Proactive risk and issue management to minimise delay. Quality management to ensure outputs are fit for purpose and fit for use. Stakeholder management and proactive communication so they feel like customers who have visibility and control. Handover to BAU in a safe manner so production stability is maintained. Building and maintaining motivated teams, making sure there is an iterative plan to work towards. Supporting the Digital Programme Manager in planning, coordinating and tracking of progress of projects as initiated through the Digital budget. Reporting on and measuring the success of projects and work streams (both customer and business benefits, including NAS impacts, revenue and cost). Financial and commercial understanding, with a key focus on tracking and reporting progress and cost lines. Establishing and maintaining key relationships with both internal project managers and suppliers to facilitate feasible, timely and cost-effective contract and project delivery.

What you'll need:

We're looking for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in project and change management, business process optimisation, and stakeholder collaboration. This role also requires;

Previous experience of delivering automation solutions (e.g. RPAs using UiPath, Automation Hub, etc.) across a large organisation (desirable but not essential). Previous experience within a Digital Project Management role. Ability to manage and lead a variety of stakeholders at all levels. Ability to implement change within a large organisation. Business development and negotiation experience. Strong influencing and communication skills. Strong collaborative skills, team player. Experience in budget management and controls. Prince2 or equivalent. EFQM/Lean Six Sigma/ Agile qualification.
