Job Description

The Total Rewards Analyst is a critical role for our Reward team in all areas of compensation and benefits and offers the opportunity to help deliver abcam’s Reward strategy. This position is based in our global headquarters in Cambridge (UK) and sits within the wider HR team, reporting into the Head of Compensation & Benefits.

As a Total Rewards Analyst, you will serve as the subject matter expert for all things Total Reward, and operate all elements of our offering to the highest standards. You will collaborate with our global HR colleagues, and wider Total Reward colleagues across Danaher, to improve the efficiency of our processes to ensure that from implementation to communication and delivery, we bring value for abcam and our people. You will also work closely with external stakeholders to ensure we have a competitive and cost-effective offering in each of our locations globally.

Responsibilities

Compensation:

  • Lead on regular compensation cycles into salary review and discretionary incentive plans
  • Action compensation benchmarking requests from internal stakeholders using subscribed surveys and job levelling in accordance with relevant frameworks
  • Collaborate with our Sales and Finance teams in the delivery of our current sales incentive plan and processes, and support in the design and implementation of future plans to align with abcam’s Strategy and Reward philosophy
  • Regularly review and conduct analyses of compensation programmes and, if appropriate, propose, design and implement new plans to promote abcam’s market competitiveness

Benefits:

  • Act as the lead for global benefits management including all renewal processes
  • Manage all retirement plans globally, including the UK Defined Contribution pension plan and US 401K plan, in partnership with our Shared Services team
  • In collaboration with our benefits providers and brokers, regularly review and conduct analyses of global benefits packages, and lead in the design and implementation of new benefits to ensure we are competitive in global markets
  • Support the delivery of both financial wellbeing and Recognition programmes with the wider global HR team

Compliance and Governance:

  • Develop formal processes with our People Services and Payroll teams to ensure that global payroll input for C&B data has been captured and processed correctly, in accordance with SOX compliance and local legislation
  • Collaborate with the abcam HR team and Danaher Global Mobility team on international assignments and relocations, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and consistency with company policies
  • Oversee Total Rewards administrative tasks picked up in our Shared Services team to ensure these meet internal processes and external requirements, applying process improvements to ensure integrity and accuracy

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Assist with the provision of data to providers and advisers
  • Generate and analyse Total Reward data for the organisation globally, for both standard and ad-hoc requirements
  • Responsible for checking the integrity and accuracy of system data

Stakeholder management: Act as the subject matter expert to internal stakeholders on all things Total Reward and manage external stakeholders through effective relationships with our third-party stakeholders.

Comms and Change Management:

  • Work with our internal comms team and external stakeholders to ensure impactful communication is delivered to associates, managers and all relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Maintain and update all C&B communications that are live
  • Act as an escalation point for queries around complex Total Reward issues

Qualifications

You are a Total Rewards expert with strong previous global experience across a range of compensation and benefits including bonus plans and sales incentive plans, salary review and benchmarking, global benefits design, implementation and delivery.

You have strong technical knowledge of global compensation and benefits compliance and are familiar with leading benchmarking surveys from global consultancies. You are a highly numerate critical thinker, who enjoys building a compelling story from data analysis.

You have excellent organisational and project management skills to effectively manage priorities and timelines. You have great attention to detail and have the ability to handle and analyse large, complex datasets from multiple sources. You have technical skills and experience with HRIS systems (preferably Workday) and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)

You are a clear communicator with the ability to adapt communications based on target audience, and can demonstrate an ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You adopt a reflective approach and propose ideas to help improve processes and / or resolve issues. You have experience in maintaining confidential and private associate and company data
