Job Description

The Head of Compensation & Benefits is a key role in the global reward team. You will be responsible for operating abcam’s compensation, benefits and payroll policies to the highest standards. From design to communication and delivery, we aim to deliver value for abcam and our people.

Reporting to the VP of Global Reward, the key responsibilities of the role include:

Compensation and Benefits Governance

Support delivery of Danaher’s Global Compensation & Reward Framework (GCRF) processes on Workday as relates to abcam’s employees Contribute to any Danaher processes on share incentive programs, and manage queries and historic relationships with abcam providers Outside the US:Develop and maintain SOX compliant processes for the delivery of compensation and benefits administration at abcamProvide expertise on Benefits, Global Mobility, Health & Wellbeing and Recognition for all Countries ensuring Benefits Governance and ComplianceConduct annual Benefit Reviews to support the preparation of the annual total reward proposal in line with the corporate budgeting process, and provide continued benefits support during the budgeting processManage the communications calendar on compensation and benefits itemsManage the global relationship with external benefits vendors Within the US territory, to support the transition and ongoing delivery of Benefits, Payroll Wellbeing and Recognition on the Danaher platforms.

Payroll Governance

Develop and maintain SOX compliant processes for the effective development and operation of Payroll review and approval processes (as well as supervision of Payroll Entry within HR Shared Services)

Qualifications

You have experience working in a global environment (UK, US, China). You enjoy planning and executing on the delivery of global compensation and benefits projects, in a collaborative fast paced environment. You will be excellent at project management, mobilizing stakeholders and managing priorities.

You are a confident communicator on reward topics – excited by the opportunity to interact with a range of stakeholders at all levels of the business. You will establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers. You have the ability to recognize change and act upon it to achieve goals.

You have experience in supervising payroll delivery to SOX standards. You will be a highly numerate critical thinker, who enjoys building a compelling story from data analysis.

You have experience with global compensation consultants and reward aspects of annual reporting. You will have a working knowledge of HR information systems integral to global compensation planning, such as Oracle.
