About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join Avery Healthcare’s Group Reporting team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in extracting actionable insights from our vast healthcare datasets, which encompass information from 100 care homes. Your responsibilities will include data analysis, reporting, and visualisation using Microsoft products like MySQL and Power BI, all hosted within the MS Azure platform. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care and operational efficiency within Avery and the healthcare sector.

Your ability to work in a team with excellent communication skills and an approachable manner will allow you to build up strong professional relationships with colleagues across the company. The role will be Hybrid with 1-2 days negotiable, in our office based at Group Support Centre, Northampton which offers a friendly and inclusive office environment where people feel valued.

Responsibilities

Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth data analysis on healthcare datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies. Utilise SQL and other data analysis tools to extract meaningful insights. Reporting and Visualization: Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, providing stakeholders with clear and actionable information. Data Extraction and Transformation: Develop and execute SQL queries and ETL processes to extract, clean, and transform data for analysis, ensuring data accuracy and reliability. Performance Monitoring: Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor and measure healthcare facility performance, patient outcomes, and resource utilisation. Data Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the data engineering team to ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity, addressing any data-related issues as they arise. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare professionals, management, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making. Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad hoc analyses as requested, responding to specific data inquiries and providing timely and accurate reports. Data Governance: Comply with data governance policies and regulations, ensuring that healthcare data is handled securely and in accordance with industry standards. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest developments in healthcare analytics, Microsoft technologies, and data analysis techniques to enhance your skills and contribute to ongoing improvement efforts. About You

Qualifications

Proven experience with data analysis and visualisation tools, with proficiency in Power BI. Strong SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and querying from MySQL or similar databases. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, including Azure SQL Database and Azure Data Factory, is a plus. Understanding of healthcare data, including Electronic Health Records (EHR) and healthcare-specific analytics concepts, is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic healthcare environment.
